CitySprint has acquired Southampton-based courier firm DASH-IT, as part of its plan to launch two new services- “in-boot” and “in-night”.
The company also hopes the acquisition will increase its scale and reach, providing DASH-IT’s customers with access to national coverage.
Primarily a B2B solution, CitySprint said the new in-boot service will allow it to deliver stock, from spare parts to tools, to any location chosen by the customer before 6am, or 7am for Scotland.
It will offer a returns service where returned products can also be collected from a specified location.
The in-night service will offer customers nationwide an overnight delivery solution.
“The new courier services will allow us to offer customers further time-saving, flexible fulfilment solutions, with deliveries being made securely and efficiently before the working day even begins,” said chief executive at CitySprint, Patrick Gallagher.
“We look forward to growing this part of the business and increasing the number of businesses we can help through these new solutions.”
All DASH-IT employees will transfer to CitySprint.
