Asda has awarded a home shipping and maintenance contract to Wincanton’s subsidiary repair and maintenance firm, Pullman Fleet Services.
The new deal will see Pullman look after half of Asda’s home shopping fleet of 1,800 vehicles in the East Midlands, Northern England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
It will include 24/7, 365 days a year repair and maintenance cover for the 3.5 tonne trucks.
“We were adamant that we required a partner that could help us meet our promise of saving our customers money every day. Pullman already provides a comprehensive and successful defect management programme to our nationwide fleet so we were well aware of its capabilities,” said multichannel fleet contracts manager at Asda, Sean Clifton.
