Roadways Container Logistics has teamed up with the Institute of Advanced Motorists to launch an advanced driver training scheme.
Having begun in the summer, the programme has already seen 13 Roadways drivers successfully pass the IAM’s Advanced Driving Test, with a further 12 drivers booked to take the test by the end of the year.
“This scheme enables our drivers to further develop their skills, as well as reinforces our commitment to road safety,” said Roadways’ national fleet manager, Phil Clinton.
“Those who have already passed are commenting on the benefits it brings them both from a work perspective and on a personal level, through reduced car insurance and breakdown cover premiums.”
