Peter Surtees, formerly European supply chain director of Kimberly-Clark, has joined logistics collaboration firm Giventis International.
Nigel Wakeling managing director of Pure Logik is also joining the Giventis team.
Giventis targets logistics service providers, inbound retail, and shippers. It uses business intelligence and its cloud-based platform, ELG-Web, to identify and facilitate collaboration opportunities.
“Most companies have only limited understanding of the collaboration potential of their own networks, but this has to change if they want to take out costs and emissions,” said Surtees.
“Having used Giventis to identify and deliver collaborative transport saving while I was with Kimberly-Clark I am really looking forward to working with the company to continue to drive the collaboration agenda”
Giventis is a partner in the CO³ (Collaborative Concepts for Co-modality) Project that is designed to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of European logistics through transport collaboration.
