Pall-Ex has ordered 30 Hyster forklifts from Briggs to operate from its main UK hub, in Leicestershire.
The trucks are powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), which Pall-Ex says offers even lower emissions than LPG.
As part of the four-year deal, Briggs will provide maintenance and servicing, as well as customised models for specific jobs.
“Having our fleet powered by CNG means that we can keep up to our ethos of being one of the greenest road haulage operations in the world,” said Pall-Ex Group managing director, Adrian Russell.
Celebrating 12 years of partnership, this latest move has seen Briggs make a £500 charity donation, which will be matched by Pall-Ex’s founder and chief executive officer Hilary Devey. The overall donation will be split between the Stroke Association and the Carers Trust.
