Premdor UK, the producer of internal and external doors, windows, and cubicles, has awarded Norbert Dentressangle a three-year distribution contract renewal.
Premdor is part of USA-based Masonite, a global joinery manufacturer, which sells products in more than 70 countries around the world.
Norbert offers the company a “just in time” distribution model, for which the company moved from a purely dedicated delivery solution, to include a 20 per cent shared-user service.
The deal sees Norbert collect orders from Premdor’s Barnsley site, which it transports overnight to its network of UK depots, before distributing to Premdor’s customers.
It also includes the collection and delivery of raw materials from suppliers in Yorkshire to the Barnsley site.
