Euro Car Parts has agreed a lease with Prologis for a 258,000 sq ft distribution facility at Prologis Tamworth 594.
The new building at Prologis Tamworth 594, which is close to the company’s existing national distribution centre, will provide a strategically located facility to accommodate Euro Car Parks continuing expansion.
“Our branch delivery service covers 98% of the UK population and this additional distribution centre will help us to ensure that we have the necessary capacity to meet our customers’ requirements,” said Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia, managing director of Euro Car Parts.
“Prologis has worked closely with us to develop an effective property solution that meets our exact requirements and timescale.”
When Prologis acquired the Tamworth 594 building earlier this year, it divided the building into two sections. The first unit, comprising 336,000 square feet, was let to Hermes Parcelnet. Following the lease agreement with Euro Car Parts, the building is now fully let.
“We are delighted that our recent acquisition of Prologis Tamworth 594 meant that we were able to meet Euro Car Parts’ requirements,” said Andrew Griffiths, managing director of Prologis UK.
“There is a consistent level of demand for logistics space in the West Midlands and an increasing number of companies – like Euro Car Parts – need high quality space to meet urgent deadlines.”
North Rae Sanders and Dowley Turner Real Estate acted for Prologis. CBRE acted for Euro Car Parts in identifying suitable warehouse properties and in the negotiations to the acquire Prologis Tamworth 594.
