CollectPlus is working with Parcel Motel to provide Irish online shoppers with a way to return unwanted items back to UK retailers.
Parcel Motel was set up in July last year, by Irish delivery firm the Nightline. It offers its customers in Ireland a network of 100 locker locations to collect online orders.
The joint venture will now see customers able to return purchases by dropping them off at their nearest Parcel Motel locker.
UK-based Littlewoodsireland.ie has become the first company to use the service, enabling its customers in Ireland to make returns to the UK.
All parcels returned to Parcel Motel will be transferred to CollectPlus in the UK, for delivery back to Littlewoodsireland.ie’s returns centre there.
“We’re delighted to offer our customers a more convenient and cost-effective way to return any unwanted purchases through this new service,” said managing director at Littlewoodsireland.ie, Geoff Scully.
Chief executive officer of CollectPlus, Neil Ashworth, added: “This new international returns service is something that we intend to offer to all our UK clients who trade in the Irish Republic as it is flexible enough to accommodate any returns strategy.”
