Global chemical and cosmetics firm Kao has awarded Dalepak an eight-year logistics contract in the UK, which will operate from its Pineham distribution centre, in Kent.
The contract will incorporate all products within the Kao portfolio, including Molton Brown, John Freida, and Goldwell.
Dalepak has previously handled Molton Brown’s distribution, to its own stores, wholesale partners, and hotels worldwide.
It will now handle and deliver all Kao products to major retailers and hair salons around the UK.
The company hopes to support and encourage Kao’s growth by providing both a cost effective and quality supply chain.
Managing director, Michael Finn, said: “Kao will benefit from our extensive network, time critical planning expertise, and IT capability.”
Logistics director at Kao UK, Jim Higginson, added: “Our decision to work with Dalepak is the result of a shared strategic understanding to drive operational efficiencies and make us best in class.
“The company is a pivotal part of our growth plans.”
