Trinity Mirror Newspapers has awarded Smiths News a five-year newspaper wholesaling contract renewal, worth £143 million.
Smiths News distributes newspapers and magazines throughout the UK, on behalf both national and regional publishers. It serves approximately 30,000 customers across England and Wales.
Effective of October 2014, Smiths says the new deal will equate to 15 per cent of the national newspaper distribution market.
Managing director, Jonathan Bunting, said: “The agreement gives us greater certainty on the future of our network, allowing us to plan investments that will further improve service for our customers.”
