Developer Roxhill is pursing a new warehouse development in Kent on the former hotly contested Kent International Gateway Project which was shelved in 2010.
The developer is looking to develop a 550,000 sq ft scheme on land between the A20 and M20 near junction 8 of the M20 motorway.
Roxhill said the site represented an opportunity to provide large scale warehousing together with manufacturing and office space in the Maidstone area where there are virtually no other sites with planning permission for employment use available for development.
Since the original plans for KIG have been quashed, the Maidston Council has designated the area around Junction 8 as a strategic zone for employment.A public exhibition is to be held next week on Tuesday 10 December.
