European road freight firm Waberer’s International has ordered 600 DAF tractors as part of a comprehensive fleet renewal programme.
The order consists of 150 CF trucks for medium distance transport and 450 XF vehicles for long distance haulage, of which one third is of the latest Euro 6 model, to be delivered in the first half of 2014
“This order will include the 2,000th DAF tractor delivered to us since the first was taken into operation,” said chairman and CEO György Waberer.
“To ensure the most economical operation as possible, our average fleet age is only two years. A young and modern fleet is instrumental to further expand our presence in Western-Europe; we expect a double digit growth percentage in sales this year.”
At the DAF premises in Eindhoven, the badge from the first vehicle of the first batch of 250 tractors was presented to by Ron Bonsen, member of the DAF Board of Management presented Waberer with the badge from the first vehicle of the first batch of 250 new tractors.
