Bibby Distribution has placed an order for 200 new Euro 6 Mercedes-Benz trucks over the next two years, as part of a ￡20 million fleet renewal.
It is taking 22 of the 18-tonne Antos rigids in January and February, with at least 53 more being introduced throughout the rest of next year, plus 100 more in 2015.
“Being among the first to introduce a fleet of Euro 6 trucks is a natural next-step for our business in early 2014; we see no reason to delay,” said chief executive officer Iain Speak.
25 Actros Euro 5 tractor units will join Bibby’s fleet this month, to support the run-up to Christmas.
