Moores Furniture Group has awarded Norbert Dentressangle a three-year deal to distribute products throughout the UK.
Based in West Yorkshire, Moores supplies furniture to contract markets, builders’ merchants, and large DIY stores. It also has a range of brands, which are sold at independent retailers.
The company recently moved from an in-house distribution model, to the outsourced solution, following a review of its supply chain.
It said the new model accurately matches delivery flows in line with order volumes, compared to its old one, which had limited operational flexibility.
Norbert will now provide two-man delivery for Moores’ large furniture, using a combination of dedicated vehicles, which will operate from locations in Motherwell, Leighton Buzzard, and Gloucester.
It will also offer pre-booked or next day deliveries in line with customer requirements, to agreed KPIs.
