DB Schenker Logistics has simplified its European management structure by grouping together its Northern and Eastern Europe regions.
The previous regional director of Europe East, Göran Åberg, will take over management of the region Europe North & East.
Karsten Keller, formerly chief financial officer of the region Europe North, will become CFO of the new region.
Ingvar Nilsson, regional director for Europe North for the last eight years and head of the Swedish national subsidiary Schenker AB for a long time, is retiring at the end of 2013 after forty years in the industry.
The new region comprises the UK, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Ukraine, and Belarus. The regional head office is in Gothenburg.
