The Food Storage and Distribution Federation (FSDF) has launched a Health and Safety Leadership Programme, in a bid to provide a safe and healthy work environment for those involved in both the food storage and distribution sectors.
Members who sign up to the programme will receive benefits, such as expert guidance and advice on all matters relating to health and safety, and a recognised standard of achievement within the company.
Companies including Reed Boardall, Cold Move, and Partner Logistics have signed up since the launch on 1 January.
Head of UK operations at Partner Logistics, Jon Miles, said: “The programme offers us the ability to benchmark our own health and safety performance against both our sector and the logistics industry as a whole, which is something we are very keen to do as part of our ongoing H&S strategy as a business.”
The FSDF website will now feature a dedicated health and safety area, to support the new programme.
