SWIP’s Airport Industrial Property Unit Trust (AIPUT) has completed a new cargo handling centre for its customer dnata, at Heathrow.
dnata offers ground handling, in-flight catering, cargo and travel around the world.
Three new 205,640 sq ft customised cargo handling facilities have been added to two of the company’s existing sites on Bedfont Road, to form Heathrow’s new cargo park, dnata City.
Together AIPUT and dnata have invested more than £100 million over the life of the scheme.
“The unification of our vision with dnata has culminated in a cargo handling centre that is transforming the premier cargo handling landscape at Heathrow,” said fund manager at AIPUT, Nick Smith.
All project management and strategy of the joint venture was handled by Canmoor.
