TNT Fashion Group UK is integrating elements of its operation with the TNT Express network, which could potentially have an impact on some 130 job roles.
The company said customers would benefit from improvements to the speed of service, responsiveness, and range of delivery options available to them.
From March 2014, fashion consignments will be delivered through the more extensive network of in-house hubs, depots, and vehicles within TNT Express, enabling suppliers to respond to customer demands and get product to market more quickly and easily.
“Combining the greater resources and more expansive infrastructure offered by TNT Express with the industry specific expertise and services of TNT Fashion will bring direct benefits to the speed and quality of service for our customers, and therefore long-term success of both their business and ours,” said Alistair Cochrane, managing director of TNT Express UK& Ireland.
TNT Fashion Group UK has begun consultation with trade unions, to support employees who will be most affected by the changes.
The company said it will consider redeployment options where appropriate.
