Carlsberg UK has awarded European pallet pooling operator, LPR, a three-year contract to supply pallets for transport from Carlsberg’s Northampton national distribution centre, to both distributors and retailers throughout the UK, as part of the deal.
Carlsberg said LPR’s ability to tailor its service to the drinks giant’s needs was a key factor in it winning the contract. “There was a strong customer-focused proposition, supported by an exceptional level of attention to detail throughout the whole process of tender,” said head of primary logistics at Carlsberg UK, Neil Harrison.
