Amazon has launched a Sunday delivery service to Amazon Prime members in seven key cities across the UK.
Amazon Prime members in London, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Nottingham, Manchester, and Leeds will be offered the new delivery option, at no extra cost.
The move comes after the Sunday service was successfully trialled throughout London, for four weeks in the run-up to Christmas.
“Delivery on a Sunday means every day is now an Amazon delivery day and that Prime members can enjoy even more convenience when shopping on Amazon,” said UK director at Amazon Logistics, Jamie Stephenson.
“During the Christmas period and we were able to deliver thousands more parcels in this way in London, in just four weeks, so we’re delighted to now offer this service to customers throughout the UK.”
The Sunday delivery service will operate via Amazon Logistics, which handles a number of delivery stations acting as hubs, and works with regional delivery partners, to transport items directly to customers in their local area.
