Cargo Records has named Cinram its primary distribution partner, replacing Gem Logistics, after its decision to exit music.
Cargo has focused on bringing new labels and artists to the UK market since 1992. Its portfolio includes Grammy Awards winners The White Stripes, platinum album sellers Blink 182, and Mercury Prize nominee Burial.
Cinram will use its Aylesbury UK distribution centre to service the contract, shipping Cargo’s music and home entertainment products direct to store and consumers every day.
The company will provide services such as packaging, warehousing, fulfilment, distribution and credit management, from the site.
“Cargo Records is such a natural fit for Cinram. We’re truly excited about this long-term partnership. The music is back,” said Cinram’s credit & receivables manager, Graham Durban.
