Europa is investing in a new 262,500 sq ft head office and South of England hub, at Prologis Park in Littlebrook, Dartford, following the acquisition of the company by Andrew Baxter.
Built to meet Europa’s exact requirements, the site aims to support the company’songoing expansion, focusingon increasing its capacity to handle logistics contracts. It will also support its northern hub at Prologis Park Midpoint, in the West Midlands.
Construction will begin in early summer 2014, and is due for completion in spring 2015, when 230 of Europa’s staff currently based at its Erith head office will move there.
“This move marks the biggest single investment that the company has ever made, and is an exciting next step for the business,” said managing director, Andrew Baxter.
“Littlebrook is in an ideal location for our business, allowing easy access to continental Europe as well as to the rest of southern England.”
Baxter acquired the company in August 2013, announcing plans for significant investment in the business. He has since worked closely with Prologis to design the new state-of-the-art facility.
