The Freight Transport Association has launched a new Driver Agency Accreditation Scheme, which it says will recognise, encourage, and promote continuous improvement within the sector.
As well as industry recognition, FTA says the scheme will provide verification to both employees and customers, by showing them driver agencies are promoting good practice.
It also aims to reduce corporate and operational risk, and highlight any areas of ineffectiveness or non-compliance, to help improve systems and processes within the industry.
The scheme considers applications, audit performance, feedback results, complaints and any other detrimental information.
