The Co-operative Estates has completed a further four industrial warehouse disposals, bringing its total number of transactions in the last 13 months to more than 2.3 million sq ft of distribution space.
Recent sales of former distribution centres in Oxford, Bradford, Chester Le Street, and Stoke, helped the company achieve national disposals generating some £13 million in capital receipts in 2013.
“2013 proved to be a very active and successful year for The Co-operative Estates and its advisory team,” said director of commercial and investment property at The Co-operative Estates, Geoff Player.
“The level of transactions supports the view that economic activity nationally is improving albeit gradually. In the distribution sector, the level of take-up of this legacy space is undoubtedly aided by the development time lag of new space coming to market.”
Colliers International is the lead agent for The Co-operative Estates.
