Managing global freight costs while maintaining product quality is a challenge for any organisation, but it poses particular problems in the pharmaceuticals sector.
These challenges will come under scrutiny at the Logistics Manager Summit on 5th June in a presentation by Mark Edwards, global freight manager at Actavis, the global, pharmaceutical company focused on developing, manufacturing and distributing generic, brand and biosimilar products.

He will also explain how Actavis has adapted to the increased burden of regulation as well as considering the impacts on product distribution and lessons for other industries.
In particular he will look at the benefits and drawbacks of switching from air to ocean freight?
The Logistics Manager Summit: Cost & Efficiency takes place on 5th June and runs alongside the Logistics Link Live exhibition at the NEC.
The event is now open for registration (direct link: http://www.eventdata.co.uk/Forms/Default.aspx?FormRef=Log64Visitor).
