Prologis is to speculatively develop in the Heathrow area, hot on the heels of SEGRO announcing a 98,780 sq ft of speculative development at Heathrow.
Prologis is speculatively developing 139,170 sq ft in two units of 102,900 and 36,270 sq ft on the third and final phase of its Prologis Park Heathrow scheme.
The larger building can be configured as either one facility or as two semi-detached units of 41,600 sq ft and 61,300 sq ft.
All the buildings will have 50m yards as well as being built to BREEAM 2011 “very good” accreditation. Construction is due to start this month.
Andrew Griffiths of Prologis said: “We are continuing to invest in strategic locations in London and the South East.
“There is a shortage of new facilities in the size near Heathrow Airport and there is a strong level of demand from occupiers who want new logistics facilities within short timeframe.”
Letting agents for the scheme are Savills and Dowley Turner Real Estate.
