Brammer, the distributor of industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul products, has set out plans to consolidate activities at its Wolverhampton distribution centre and offices at Wythenshawe.
It is now consulting with staff on the change which would mean closure of its distribution centre and offices at Coventry by the end of the summer.
The company said the proposed consolidation would enable the company to use the spare capacity and automated warehouse systems that exist in the Wolverhampton distribution centre.
This would allow streamlining of the stock holding, supply chain and logistics activities which currently duplicated at the Coventry site.
“It would also enable the consolidation of all UK finance and administration activities at the Wythenshawe office further improving customer service and operational efficiency,” it said.
