Hermes has launched a Europe wide consumer parcel network which it calls “the most comprehensive international delivery solution on the market”.
The service is available to consumers in 20 European countries, and provides a cross border returns service designed to overcome the reticence of international customers to buy from overseas websites due to concerns about returning unwanted items.
The Hermes International service offers a fully tracked end-to-end solution that can be managed through a single point of integration.
All transport will be undertaken by Hermes Logistics’ own fleet throughout Europe delivering a secure, single carrier experience, with a number of final mile options including access to over 36,000 parcel shops and Hermes’ unique courier model.
The service will be supported by a dedicated international team based in Hamburg providing a single point of contact.
There are plans to expand the service to some 35 countries, including Russia by 2015.
