Mobile operator O2 has extended its order deadline for standard next day deliveries of phones and tablets to 10pm, as part of its aim to deliver best in class customer experiences.
O2 expects that over 3,000 customers per week will benefit by receiving their delivery up to 24 hours earlier than before.
Nicky McGroarty, head of supply chain, said: ” We are proud to be the first mobile retailer to offer a 10pm order deadline for next day deliveries direct to customers.
“Extending the cut-off to 10pm involved significant logistical challenges for Supply Chain, including changing staff working hours at our warehouse and adding extra trailers to collect the additional parcel volumes but as a result 3,000 customers are expected to benefit from this service every week.”
