DB Schenker has completed the acquisition of the outstanding 49 per cent of the shares in Schenker Gemadept logistics based in Vietnam, its joint venture with Gemadept Logistics.
Schenker Gemadept logistics was formed in July 2007 to provide logistics and supply chain services through an agreement between Schenker Vietnam and Gemadept Logistics.
DB Schenker has been operating in Vietnam since 1991 and offers a full range of logistics and transportation services.
The integration process will follow immediately. The new set-up will allow DB Schenker to put in place established solutions for customers from various vertical markets such as electronics, retail and consumer goods.
