Ocado has refused to comment on reports that its has put plans to move into a new 350,000 sq ft warehouse in the Manchester area on hold.
The Manchester Evening News reported that Ocado was looking for a new depot to serve its new online grocery business with Morrisons, but has now instead decided to take a smaller depot in Liverpool (14/08/14).
A spokesperson for Ocado said: “Our business is growing rapidly as more and more people discover the benefits of online grocery shopping. We can’t comment on specific future plans, but as our business expands we’ll continue to build new delivery hubs and warehouses to keep up with increasing customer demand.”
