Claudio Bozzo, president and CEO of Mediterranean Shipping Company (USA), is to receive the 2014 Connie Award from the Containerization & Intermodal Institute.
Bozzo joined MSC in New York City as a clerk in 1994 rising through the ranks to become president and CEO in 2005. The company is the largest carrier of containerised cargo in the US, employing some 1200 people.
“Since being assigned to lead MSC in to the United States, Claudio Bozzo, who is just 47, has been instrumental in guiding the carrier as it expanded substantially to become one of the world’s top shipping companies,” said Michael DiVirgilio, President of CII.
Bozzo will be presented with the award at a lunch on 8th December.
