Discount supermarket chain Aldi is to open a second distribution hub in the West Midlands as additional space to its main hub in Atherstone, north Warwickshire.
The company has taken Industrial Property Investment Fund’s 120,000 sq ft Centurion 120 warehouse on Centurion Park, Tamworth, Staffordshire.
The premises comprises 113,718 sq ft of warehouse and 5,475 sq ft of offices. It has eaves of 74ft, 19 dock doors, four-level access doors and space for 23 HGVs.
It has secured a six year lease with three year breaks. The deal took six weeks to transact through property agents Lambert Smith Hampton advising Aldi and JLL representing the landlord.
Centurion Park is close to the A5 and junction 10 of the M42. Other companies on the park include Home Retail Group, Norbert Dentressangle, and AAH Pharmaceuticals.
