DB Schenker Rail has launched a service for WH Malcolm between Daventry and Grangemouth with the first 50 ft containers to travel by rail in the UK.
The seven-day-a-week service moves goods for a large number of high profile retailers and manufacturers.

DB Schenker Rail UK have worked with us to get our new 50 ft units on the train, allowing us to offer more capacity to our customer base.”

The partners believe the Malcolm 50 ft container is a game changer. The service is in addition to the Daventry to Mossend service which DB Schenker launched earlier this year. It means that each year DB Schenker Rail will now move over 40,000 containers for WH Malcolm.
