CHEP has launched a service that allows UK customers to make use of its semi-automatic stretch wrap machine on a cost-per-wrap basis.
The new service, CHEP Stretch, provides customers with the machine, film, and equipment maintenance on a lease basis.
Gill Sinclair, CHEP UK & Ireland, commercial director, said: “Our total cost of ownership calculator shows that for some customers we can halve their total load containment cost with the CHEP Stretch solution.”
CHEP has been running the service in Australia and New Zealand for several years, and has partnered with Lantech, a manufacturer of stretch wrapping equipment, to operate the service in the UK. CHEP will be appearing at this year’s Logistics Link North exhibition.
The Logistics Link North exhibition returns to Doncaster Racecourse on 15th and 16th October – making it the best place for logistics, warehouse and distribution managers to find the latest innovations in intra-logistics technology.
A host of leading companies will be showing innovations in warehouse management and automation, software solutions, adaptive packaging, intelligent picking, materials handling and mobile technology.
The show provides the opportunity to meet key suppliers, attend live demos to get invaluable first-hand insight into how products work in practice, and pick up practical know-how in seminars.
