CitySprint is to buy London based same-day delivery firm CYC Logistics, expanding its network to more than 3,000 couriers across 40 service centres.
Patrick Gallagher, chief executive of CitySprint, said: “Today’s acquisition, the second biggest in our history, is a major and exciting milestone for the business. Not only are we adding further scale and reach to our national business, but we are building on our existing local knowledge base with some excellent people.”
This is CitySprint’s the fourth acquisition this year. The operator reckons its network can now reach 87 per cent of the UK’s mainland population within one hour.
