Iain Speak, chief executive officer of Bibby Supply Chain Services, is to move to a consultancy role supporting Bibby Line Group from 1st January.
He has been with the company for 17 years, taking over as CEO from Theo de Pencier in 2007.
As a consultant, Speak (pictured) will support Bibby Distribution and other Bibby Line companies in developing strategies for their continued growth.
Sir Michael Bibby, managing director of Bibby Line Group, said: “Iain has been at the centre of Bibby Distribution’s growth throughout his employment and has led transformational change, taking Bibby Distribution from a single product UK company to a portfolio of international businesses in 2014 – and poised for further growth in the years ahead.”
Bibby Distribution’s turnover has risen from £63m in 1997 to more than £300m today. In May of this year, Bibby restructured its business creating Bibby Supply Chain Services to oversee Bibby Distribution, Bibby International Logistics, Packaging Logistics Services and Bibby Employment Services.

Earlier this year he received the chairman’s award from the UK Warehousing Association for his lifetime contribution to the sector.
