Goole-based lawn care products manufacturer The Scotts Company (UK) has opted to use a TF-150 label print and apply system supplied by Industrial Labelling Systems. The Scotts Company needed a stand alone front of pack, print and apply labeller after for its newly installed Filling/Packing line as the system had to operate above an inclined conveyor which transfers product multi-packs from the shrink tunnel up to an auto-palletising unit.
The TF-150 prints text, barcodes, logos, date and time as well as best before dates. It is capable of printing label widths up to 170mm. Labels are printed via the integral T-60 printer and then fed onto the Tamp-Blow applicator pad. On a given signal, the applicator moves out to apply the label onto the front face of each pack.
The Scotts Company selected the system because of its “robust construction and ability” to apply labels onto its various packs.
