The TXT solution has gone live after only three months of implementation, to support the first VF Europe retail partnership initiative in Germany. VF Europe is now starting to roll-out the TXT solution throughout the continent. The functions of the TXT SC&CM Assortment Planning solution for VF include preparation of balanced and unique product assortments at store level, to satisfy strategic product and store objectives; optimal open-to-buy plans; planning for inventory and marketing events; continuous in-season and post-season forecast monitoring, reviewing and updating, both for high-rotation items and for campaigns on seasonal themes.

GeoLogistics Corporation, a third-party logistics company, has formed a strategic alliance with Syntel, a global information technology services firm. The multi-year agreement provides GeoLogistics with enhanced capability to rapidly deliver application solutions in support of its extensive internal operations and the supply chain management activities of its customers on a global basis. Syntel assumes ongoing management and operational responsibility for all GeoLogistics’ IT applications, including Geo Vista which provides global visibility for its customers’ supply chains. The alliance further advances GeoLogistics leadership role for IT within the 3PL sector.
