Peek Traffic and Pizza Express are the first companies to take space at Phase 100 Parkbury in St Albans, a speculative development of seven production/warehouse units now available for immediate occupation.
Lambert Smith Hampton, acting with joint agent Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker, negotiated the transactions on behalf of Slough Estates.
Peek Traffic has taken a new 15-year lease for Unit 5, a 935sq m industrial building, at a rent of £7.75 per sq ft. The company is using the building for storing and assembling electronic traffic management equipment and acquired the facility at similar cost levels to a second-hand property it was considering in the Watford area.
High street restaurant chain Pizza Express is letting Unit 4, a 740sq m facility, on a 15-year lease at rent equating to £7.50 per sq ft.
It is being used as a central servicing depot for Pizza Express’ fleet of mopeds.
Other units at Parkbury range from 740sq m up to 2,170sq m.
