Supermarket chain Sainsbury’s is letting its 34,446sq m distribution centre (RDC) on Shire Park, Worcester, from October. Located near to J6 and J7 of the M5, centre’s letting is being handled through sole agent Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker,
The RDC was originally built 11 years ago was extended twice, in 1996 and 2001. The building is of steel portal frame construction with full height steel profile cladding to all elevations arranged in six bays. The centre also features 55 dock level doors and two level access doors; cross docking capabilities; 10.45m clear internal height; and air-conditioned offices. It has also been partially fitted out as a cold store, which is fully sprinklered.
Cushman says the property is held on a full repairing and insuring lease for a 30-year term from December 25, 1995, and subject to five yearly upward only rent reviews at a current passing rent of £5.45 per sq ft.
