Meat processor Mathers (Inverurie) Meat is using a gas-powered Komatsu FG20 forklift truck – its third Komatsu in use – to transport animal waste at the end of the slaughter and meat-processing chain. The forklift was supplied by local dealer Reekie Group.
Malcolm Hetherington, general manager at Mathers Meat, says: “We chose Komatsu again because, over the past four years, our other two trucks have proved reliable, consistent and robust.”
Mathers has three sites – an abattoir and two boning plants.
