ProLogis has started the speculative construction of a 15,624sq m distribution warehouse at Purchas Road, Didcot, Oxfordshire. The building is scheduled for completion in May and ProLogis is quoting an asking rent of about £6.75 per sq ft.
The eight acre site is located off the A4130 leading directly to the A34 a mile away. The A34 is the North-South, Southampton – Oxford – Midlands trunk road and links the M4 at J13 with the M40 at J9 to the North of Oxford.
The new warehouse will feature a 12m-haunch height, 14 loading bays and four level access doors and a yard depth of 45m with additional lorry parking facilities. Some 930sq m of offices on two floors are also included.
Jeremy Greenland, vice resident at ProLogis comments: “We are very excited about Didcot as a logistics location evidenced by Booker, Tesco and Christian Salvesen all being very near our project. Didcot also offers a significant discount to the Western M25 and Eastern M4 market and we are hopeful of early interest.”
Holley Blake and King Sturge are the marketing agents for ProLogis at Didcot.
