Automobile equipment supplier Faurecia is close to completing a 3,627sq m extension of its facility at Fradley Park, the Evans Property Group’s 300-acre warehouse and business park scheme on the A38 near Lichfield.
Mark Wilson, engineering manager at Faurecia, says: “The extension will take the size of our unit up to approximately 175,000 sq ft and will provide new production and warehousing space. Operating from Fradley Park has given us the opportunity to be able to extend our facility with the minimum disruption to our productivity.”
Elsewhere on the park, Evans Property has completed an 11,783sq m warehouse unit which is now available for let. Detailed planning permission has also been received for four more units ranging in size from 4,650sq m to 18,600sq m.
Fradley Park has outline planning consent for a further 279,000sq m of distribution warehouse space.”
Agents acting on behalf of Evans Property are GVA Grimley, selected NAI Fuller Peiser to advise on the sale of its ten-acre Gillette Corner site in Isleworth, West London. The site, situated on the north-east corner of the A4 and Syon Lane junction, was first developed in 1937 and currently includes over 46,500sq m of office, manufacturing, warehouse and workshop accommodation. A preferred bidder should be selected by mid-2005 and vacant possession granted in 2007.
Gladman Developments has sold the freehold investment in a 37,200sq m distribution warehouse at Newcastle-under-Lyme to Deutsche UK Industrial Property Fund for £28.5M. The facility, on Lymedale Business Park, has been let to fashion retailer New Look on a 20-year lease. Glasdman now plans to let a 46,500sq m warehouse at Barlborough Links at J1 of the M1 motorway.
