DHL says it has bought “real innovation” to the European road express market having launched Europlus, which offers new levels of service and choice to the market with door-to-door, day-definite delivery of parcels and pallets across Europe.
Europlus encompasses the delivery of single parcels, multi-parcels and pallets. Covering more than 20 European countries and territories, the new service includes a range of features to enable customers to select the most convenient way of shipping their parcels and pallets.
The service offers the highest level of visibility for customers in the marketplace. Through track and trace technology, customers can receive up to five separate scans which pinpoint exactly where their shipment is after despatch.
Also, day-definite delivery is available whereby customers are offered a specific transit time dependent on the destination postal code. DHL says this replaces the traditional industry practice of providing a range of transit times according to the destination country.
