Dairy company Arla Foods UK has taken on more refrigerated trailers from Fraserburgh-based Gray & Adams. The single temperature trailers are being used to distribute a comprehensive range of chilled dairy products to Arla’s customers throughout the UK. To accommodate Arla’s specific application, the twin frame straight neck trailers feature an exterior length of 13,420mm, an interior height of 2,420mm and an interior width of 2,460mm. The 44-tonne trailers, which have a rear loading height of 1,468mm, are accessed via rear roller shutter doors and are fitted with Ross and Bonnyman RBVS 1,500kg harsh environment tail-lifts designed for heavy duty use.
For rear-end protection the trailers have vertically-mounted rear compression buffers on each of the tail-lift columns. The trailers have alloy tread plate floors and two levels of surface mounted load restraint positioned at 500mm and 900mm from the floor surface.
Refrigeration is provided by Carrier Vector refrigeration systems, fitted with low noise kits to minimise environmental impact.
