Nisa-Today’s new 7,440sq m distribution centre at Harlow has officially opened. Managed by Exel, the new-temperature-controlled facility will support Nisa-Today’s nationwide roll-out of its first-class, six-days-a-week delivery (Premier) service.
The new centre, which has created 146 jobs in Harlow, and Premier Service will help they buying consortium to reach 10% to 15% per annum growth in business and compete with larger, multiple retailers. The service provides delivery of 3,000-plus chilled and frozen product lines to about 3,500 stores in the South.
Stephen Hunter, managing director of logistics at Nisa-Today’s, comments: “This new warehouse allows us to drive this area of our business and provide our members with the tools to maximise the opportunity.”
