In order to meet substantial growth in its Container Transport and Distribution operations, DHL is taking delivery of 600 new trucks throughout 2005. An initial batch of 200 new MANs trucks were delivered before Christmas. The policy for future deliveries is to introduce new fleet stock only from a range of premium truck marques.
Steve Cole, director for Multi User Transport based in Felixstowe, says: “We have placed a substantial trucks order to replace both our existing fleet and additional trucks to deal with our planned growth. It’s all part of the overall DHL re-branding programme, bringing the new yellow livery to our 7,500 UK vehicle fleet.”
He continues: “These trucks represent a significant investment and are a clear signal of our intent in Container Transport and Distribution Operations.”
