Following the purchase of a 40-acre site in Scunthorpe from North Lincolnshire Council, Nisa-Today’s has appointed local contractor Clugston to begin construction on a 58,388sq m state-of-the-art distribution facility. International property firm DTZ, adviser to Clugston and North Lincolnshire Council, introduced the three parties providing advice on land, price, building specification and investment value.
Nisa-Today’s, a buying group for independent retail and wholesale companies, will run all UK distribution from the new facility at Normanby Enterprise Park, Scunthorpe. The park offers proximity to the Humber ports, the UK’s largest ports complex, direct motorway access by the M180 and M18 to the M62 trans-Pennine east/west route and the A1 and M1 north-south routes, and is only 20 miles from the local railfreight terminal for the Channel Tunnel.
Owen Holder, DTZ surveyor based within the Yorkshire Industrial and Logistics team, comments: “We are delighted to have brokered this deal, which represents the largest new distribution warehouse transaction completed in the North this year.”
