ProLogis Developments has won detailed planning consent from Kettering Borough Council, Northamptonshire for a single 77,655sq m distribution unit. The green light follows the grant of outline consent for the entire 204,600sq m park.
The developer is already on site at Kettering where the developable land totals some 120-acres; the project is to be named: ProLogis Park, Kettering. Substantial infrastructure and landscaping works are underway to remodel the A6003/A43 and the A14’s J7. Access to the site will include a new-style roundabout for the East Midlands to allow through-traffic to pass straight across the roundabout without circumnavigating it.
The works will enable the land to be opened up and allow buildings to be ready for occupation in the autumn of 2005.
Burbage Realty and Budworth Brown are joint agents at Kettering for ProLogis.
lFollowing the swift letting at the end of July of the 14,880sq m distribution warehouse at Sandpit Lane, Dartford to TDG, which is operating the unit for Kimberley Clark, ProLogis has now sold the freehold to British Airways Pension Fund at a figure representing a yield of just under 8% The newly-completed high-bay unit was let to TDG after the nearby Kimberley Clark building was destroyed by fire a few weeks previously.
